The Milk District Main Street (Facebook | Website) launched an innovative retail incubator in July 2021 to aid in fostering more opportunities for early-career local artists, makers, and entrepreneurs in the area to test their concepts before committing to a larger brick and mortar space.
The new Milk District Spot (Website), located at 2430 E. Robinson Street [GMap], will be home to a new collaborative, pop-up retail concept called “The Exchange at The Spot,” and will run from January through the end of February featuring Kick Bright Vintage & Buttons, Joybird Books, The Vintage Chair, and Framework Craft Coffee Bar.
Kick Bright Shop and Buttons specializes in vintage clothing for men, women, and children as well as a curated inventory of pop-culture-related items like toys, records, music equipment, and artwork.
Joybird Books is a used bookseller that will operate a satellite location in The Spot in conjunction with their own brand new brick and mortar store that recently opened in Audubon Park.
The Vintage Chair sells vintage, mid-century, Bohemian décor and apparently, plenty of chairs.
Framework Craft Coffee Bar, which currently operates as a mobile coffee bar in Mills 50, sells locally sourced and sustainable products and will have special pre-packaged on-the-go coffees available for purchase.
